Interior Design- Textures

Hey there,

First of all thanks so much for reading our blog, it means the world to us that we might inspire you even a little bit. We’re sorry we didn’t post anything in a while, we’ll try to post more frequently.

TEXTURES

Since I can remember interior design played a huge part in my life, I’ve been a big fan of mixing different finishes; wood & metal, velvet & leather, glass & salvaged wood, you name it- I love it.

In this post we’re not suggesting that you use all the high end materials and finishes you see in the pictures below. We want you to see how you can mix different textures and how well they work together. Sometimes when you need a change in your space, all you might have to do is to put a different rug on the floor, or put a textured wallpaper on just one wall. The truth is that you can create a beautiful space using just one color, as long as you use different hues and textures. Use your creativity, the possibilities are endless

Work space

Hi guys,

I know it’s been a while since the last post, sorry about that. I’ve been traveling a lot and had to focus on a few things upon my return.

Here’s a post about the work space. For me, it’s a very important part of the house; this is where I edit the photos, paint, write this blog and pay my bills. I find it very relaxing and inspiring to have this room just for me. I have my mood board here, my photo set up, my easel, and other inspirational things that I love.
All of us pay bills, do research, study, check the news, and so many other things, on our computers. Some of you have your businesses or studios at home. Why not have our own personal space and design it in a way that inspires us. The more pleasant the space is, the more productive you’ll be. That’s a fact.
I hope this post inspires you to make your space more -You-.

Earth tones and texture

Hey there,

Here’s another post about the design.

Growing up around interior design, I got interested at a young age –which led me to enroll at NYID in New York. I’m constantly drawn to beautiful spaces and unique textures. Interior design magazines have a special place in my bedroom, and I’m always visiting home decor stores. I was inspired to share with you some of the amazing spaces designed by great designers and architects.

Each of these rooms below is a reflection of what I love and what inspires me.

When you redesign your room, house or office, you can find inspirations in the most amazing places – -if you REALLY pay attention to detail.

The photographs below show you how you can think with innovation  when remodeling your space.

Mix textures and materials like cement floor, wood and metal – be original, and let the space reflect your character and personality, because the truth is that you relax and work better in a space that’s your “own” space.

Try NOT to go to the store and choose something just because it physically fits in that empty corner or just because it’s on sale. Make sure that whatever you get works with and within the space. Sometimes it’s better to wait for that perfect item, rather then get something just beacuse it’s on sale or because you think it will fit.

Hope this inspired you a little bit. Happy redesigning!
